What type of license should you apply for?• Home based licenses require a Home Questionnaire.

• Tahoe Short Term Rentals do not require a questionnaire.
• Out of County Businesses do not require a questionnaire.
Where are you conducting business? • If you are doing business strictly inside the city limits of Auburn, Rocklin, Roseville, Loomis, Lincoln, or Colfax then a Placer County Business License is not required.
• If your business resides in the city limits of Auburn, Rocklin, Roseville, Loomis, Lincoln, or Colfax but will be mobile and doing business in the unincorporated areas of Placer County then a questionnaire is not required.
What you should expect next? • You will receive an email verifying the receipt of your application. Make sure your email address is entered correctly to ensure receipt.
• Within three business days you will receive an additional email containing the amount due and instructions on how to make payment on-line.
